Highland Park Country Club

Now it's only one day left until the school starts, but it's going to be fun, a lot of!

Today we have been playing at our home course Highland Park Country Club and I played pretty good, but was so hungry at the end of the round since we couldn't by any sandwiches on the course. Next time I'm going to bring my own food to the course so I can stay focused for the whole round.

Chicago

Now I have been in Chicago for a couple of days and I can just say one word: awesome!

For a couple of month ago I had almost decided to study at North Carolina Wesleyan College, but I definitely did the right decision to send an application to North Park University. I have meet so much people and everyone are so cool, especially some of them. I have no idea how North Carolina Wesleyan College had been like but North Park is just perfect.

Today I have done a lot of things. The day started with the ESL test that were almost the same as the TOEFL test that I did in January and I think I did well, but you never know. We're going to get the result tomorrow at 10:00am so we'll see how I did. I'm a little nervous about the reading part, but I hope I'll pass it. If not I must take more classes this Fall and I don't want that. After the lunch we went to a phone shop called Criket to by an American cellphone so my new number is 773-441-6901. So if you want to reach me just call or send a text message to that number. When we came back to campus we went to play soccer and it was pretty fun. Later on the day I meet up with some friends from my "CREW-group" and we maid some plans for Thursdaynight when were going to a boatdance at Navy Pier and that's going to be a lot of fun. But before the boatdance the golfteam are going to play 18holes at Highland Park Country Club and that's going to be so much fun.

We're here!

It's soon bedtime after the second day at campus and what a great place this is. Not only the school, also the people around here, hope they are as nice after this introductionweek too, but I'm not worried.

This day have been really good. We woke up early this morning because of the timedifferens from Sweden to the US (woke up at 6:00AM = 13:00 in Swedish time). The breakfast were at 08:30AM so we decided to run for like 30 minutes, almost to hot outside already then. After the breakfast me, Tobias, Olle and Gustaf went donwtown to check it out and it was really cool. We walked beside the water for a while and someone were playing a really good song (don't remember which though) and I have never in my whole life felt so good in my soul, I was just enjoying the moment to 100%. Later that day we had a common dinner with all the international students and it was very nice. At the end of the dinner we had a bingo there we were going to ask eachother differnt things, very funny actualy.

Tomorrow it's orientation after breakfast and then after the lunch we're probably going to play golf on of the best golfcourses around this neighborhood, you can't even know how excited I am.

I'm starting to get really tired now so I will see you here in a couple of days.

Goodbye

Det börjar närma sig med stormsteg nu och på lördag lämnar jag Sverige för ett antal månader för att påbörja studierna på North Park University. Dags att träna upp engelska så från och med nu har jag tänkt att skriva på engelska. Ni får ursäkta språket nu i börjar ifall det blir något fel, men jag kommer lära mig riktigt snabbt känner jag.

Wow, this is going to be exciting. New country, new people, yeah everything is going to be new, almost like a new life...

Tomorrow me and my family are going to eat dinner and that's going to be very enjoyably since I'm going to live in Chicago IL the next four month. This four month are probably going to be the most scary, fun, exciting and best month in my life, all at the same time.

Augusti

Oj va fort sommaren har gått och man har redan kommit in i mitten av augusti.

Under senaste månaderna har jag hunnit med väldigt mycket och tävlat en hel del också. Detta har gått bra på slutet och det känns riktigt skönt då det strax är dags för mitt nästa kapitel i livet, golfcollege! Den 21a augusti så lyfter planet från Arlanda och landar ett antal timmar senare i O'Hare (Chicago, IL), grymt spännande kan jag säga!!

Men än är det inte dags då det bara är den 12a augusti idag och men andra ord 9 dagar kvar. Imorgon bär det av till Sundsvall där min sista tävling i Sverige spelas detta år, vore skönt att avsluta med en topp 10 placering innan äventyret. Så när jag har skrivit klart detta blir det att packa ihop lite grejor och sedan bara ladda för resan och försöka spela bra golf under helgen.
