Midterm

Now I have been in Chicago for over two month and that is more than half of the semester, 50 days left in Chicago for this year since I'm going back to Sweden during the winter break.

This last week I have had a lot of homework and in some of my classes I've had "Midterm". By far the toughest class I have this Fall is The Modern World which is history, but one of my other classes, Introductory Statistics, is pretty east so that's good.

Tonight it's time for our first intramural soccer game which is going to be a lot of fun. Out team is called "the golfteam" and that is because the guys on the golfteam are on the soccerteam, but not all of them are playing tonight. Lets go get them boys!

Thats it for today, see you later!

North Park University

It have been more than one week since I wrote here and it have happened a lot o things the past week.

This past Monday I went to Tre Kronor with some of my friends here at North Park and it was soooo good food. I ate meatballs with lingonberry and even though I'm not a big fan of lingonberry it almost felt like I was back in Sweden, wow!

One day later, Tuesday, we went to Cress Creek CC once again and play like Ryder Cup against North Central College. I played with Olle since he is number 1 right now and I'm number 2 and we played alright. We won the foursome (1up), lost the bestball(1down) and then we won both of our single matches, 6 holes each since we couldn't play more than 18 holes. The total score after the day: North Park University 10½ North Central College 5½. Great played guys!

But I'm not going to forget to write about the footballgame we went to. We went to see North Western play against Purdue and that was so much fun, unfortunately North Western lost by 20-17. Thanks for a great night anyway Tyler!!

See you!

Sweden

This weekend we had our last tournament for the fall and we finished 5th out of 15 teams. The tournament were in Lake Geneva and we played two different courses, really different but at the same golfclub. First day we played The Highlands and all Swedes thought it was like the courses in Sweden, but we all played bad anyway. The second day we played The Brute that probably was the best course I ever played, a real championship course with big greens and big bunkers, wow! I didn't like hole 17th at The Brute though (haha). We stayed in a hotel at Grand Geneva where the courses were and we had a TV in our bathroom mirror(!!). I tell you, that was so awesome. Here is the website to the courses, you should check it out: http://www.grandgeneva.com/golf_spa_ski/golf/index.asp

I have been here in Chicago for 1½ month now and it's awesome, school is going well (A on my first test in Introductory Statistics) and I'm surrounded of really nice people here at North Park, but still I'm starting to miss home a little. Our fall semester ends 17th of December so I've almost been here half of the semester already, that's crazy! Time is going faster than ever...

Here is a picture of my hometown, Örnsköldsvik.

See you!

Friday

This past week have been so crazy, I have had so much homework it have been ridiculous. Now it's finally Friday though and I have finished all the homework for this week and classes for this week, puuh. Time for weekend!!

The weekend starts with a soccer game tonight between our team at the school and Elmhurst, it's going to be fun to watch that since both teams are really good. On Saturday we're going to have practice in the morning at the driving range and and we'll be back lunch. After we have eaten lunch it's time for Modo Hockey to meet Färjestad BK which is going to be a great game. Me and Tobias are of course Modo-fans, but we have some FBK-fans here so it's probably going to be some trash talk during the game haha.

Then on Sunday and Monday it's time for our last tournament for the fall season, sadly but true. Let finish strong guys!!

See you!
