Break

Now it's time for a short break again and this weekend it's Thanksgiving!

Tomorrow me and Martin are going home to a friend of ours, Monica Christiansen, who lives in Barrington that is one hour northwest of North Park. I'm really excited since Thanksgiving is so big here compared to in Sweden so it's going to a be a new experience and probably a good one and a better weekend than the last one. Last weekend I sprained my ankle while playing badminton and it still hurts a bit, but it's a lot better. It was probably the first time I sprained my ankle though, but eventually it's going to happen since I like to play sports.

When I'll be back from the break it's only three weeks left in school for this year which feels so great, both to finish my classes but most of all I get to go back to my family and friends in Sweden, wow!

Happy Thanksgiving people!

NHL

Last Sunday I went to my first NHL game ever and it was awesome!

Anaheim Ducks were visiting United Center to try to beat Chicago Blackhawks and get their 7 straight win, but the Hawks won the game in overtime and one of the two Swedes, Viktor Stålberg, had the game winning goal. That's how we do it in Sweden! I went to the game with Martin, a guy from the golfteam, and he had got free tickets on the club level which was really nice. During the game three other guys from the golfteam, Andrew, Alek och Oscar joined us since seats near us weren't taken.

Before I'm going home to Sweden again we are going to try to go to another game and hopefully when Vancouver Canucks are visiting the Hawks. During that game I'm not going to cheer for the Hawks since Henrik and Daniel Sedin are playing for the Canucks. The Sedin brothers are from the same town as I'm from, Örnsköldsvik!

Here is a slideshow from the game:

November

Now we are in the month of November and it's not that long until I'm going back to Sweden, that's going to be so awesome even though Chicago is a great place, but I think I'm going to appreciate everything back home even more than before so it's going to be a lot of fun.

But I have approximately 40 days left here in Chicago this year and I hope it's going to be at least as fun as I have had so far at North Park if not better. The weather is starting to cool down a bit, but it's much better than Sweden so I shouldn't complain, it's going to be interesting to see when it starts to snow here since it have already started in Sweden.

Now it's bed time though after a fun night. We had our second game in intramural football but we lost this time too, thats life. Next time we really need to win!!

Here is a picture of Burgh Hall where me and Tobias lives.

See you!
