Florida

Today it's only 13 days left until our Spring Break. During that week me and 6 other Swedes, all from the golf team, are going down to Panama City in Florida which is 16 hour drive from Chicago. This is going to be a lot of fun and it's going to be nice to get to warmer areas and to be able to play some golf.

We have already started to practice a little outside here in Chicago actually. Last weekend many of the guys in the golf team went to our driving ranch where they got heated areas where you can hit balls even if it's cold. This was a lot of fun since we haven't been able to practice outside before during the winter.

And then when we're going back from Florida it's only 56 days left in school this Spring which is going to go really fast. During the month of April my brother, his wife and their friend are probably going to visit me which is going to be fun too, but I think I'm going to have the best feeling during the 14th of May!

The End

No don't worry, it's not the end of this blog, it's something much much worse..

It's all about Peter Forsberg today. The 14th February 2011 he decided to retire from the game of ice hockey. For the people that not know who Peter Forsberg is (shame on you!), here is a quick summary.

Medals for Sweden
- 2 Olympic Golds
- 2 World Cup Golds
- 3 World Cup Silver
- 1 World Cup Bronze
- 2 Junior World Cup Silver and points record of 30 points in 7 (!!) games 1993
Awards in NHL
- Stanley Cup 1996 & 2001
- Rookie of the year 1995
- Art Ross Trophy 2003 (106 points)
- Hart Memorial Trophy 2003 (Most valuable player)

Well I guess this speaks for itself. Peter Forsberg is in my opinion the best hockey player ever played for Sweden and he will always be remembered. For those who haven't seen a lot of him just take time and watch this youtube clip. I promise you, it's worth it!

Usa vs Sweden

Now I have been here for two weeks and school is going fine. Just after the first week I decided to drop one of my classes and add a class called Nutrition. Today I had that class for the first time and I feel like I made a good decision.

This week I'm going to have the first exam in one of my classes and that's going to be the beginning of a time with a lot of homework. I got quizzes, exams, midterm and some papers to do in the upcoming weeks. Tomorrow is going to be a interesting day though. It's a great change that it's going to be a snowstorm here in Chicago and it's supposed to come 20 inches of snow in a short amount of time. I hope this is going to happen not just because classes may get canceled but rather since it would be really cool to experience that since it's not that common in Sweden.

But it's one thing that makes me smile every day even though it's not here in Chicago, some of you may know.
